The Theory of the Chair

This series of eight photographs is a schematic demonstration of the consequences of a fragile modernity and a loss of reference points. “The Chair” is the body-object, fragmented and crumbling of a humanity confronted with a dead end, dispossessed of itself, unstructured and dispersed. What is striking is the resistance that is created, this mobile will to stand, with the help of a critical, foundational and emancipated thought that will eventually reconstitute and give a free form to the Man of the Future.
