Biography

Negin Daneshvar-Malevergne is a French visual artist specialising in photography, born in Iran, to a family of writers, doctors and painters.

In conjunction with her extensive university studies in comparative literature and obtaining a doctorate in Humanities at the Sorbonne Paris IV, she became interested in photography. She followed courses at the American School and exhibited at Arles. Resuming her studies at the Jean Verdier Centre in Paris, she attended the courses of Carlo Werner, Bruno Dubreuil and participated in meetings and debates at the Immix gallery, an exhibition centre dedicated to contemporary photography. Her recent photographs reflect in particular her questions on man’s place in a world in crisis and plagued by multiple disorders.
