Biography

Negin Daneshvar-Malevergne is a French artist, born in Iran into a family of intellectuals, doctors, and painters. From childhood, writing was a way of painting, and drawing an attempt at writing in motion. From a very young age, she was exposed to a committed humanism that deepened during her studies, first in Iran and then in France, where she earned a doctorate in Literature and Humanities from the Sorbonne. Her thesis, published under the title Narcissus and the Malaise of the Century, focused on French and English literature of the late 19th and early 20th centuries. The reflections woven in this book and her academic articles, along with her experience of teaching, always oriented towards others and their fulfillment, have been further developed onto images of the Human condition in art.

To this end, since 2014, she has pursued further training in analog and digital photography at the Jean Verdier Center in Paris. She attended Carlo Werner’s teaching programs and subsequently completed three research cycles that opened the doors to the IMMIX Gallery, an exhibition space dedicated to contemporary and experimental photography. There, she actively participates in exhibitions, competitions, and discussions, where she is often asked to analyze the work of the exhibiting artists.

From 2024 onwards, she aspires to a broader international reach, collaborating with Artio Gallery in Toronto and Pictorial Foundation in New York.
